Ningbo will launch a comprehensive mine dust rectification from December 25, 2013 to June 2014. The municipal government held a meeting to deploy the special rectification action on December 24. Vice-mayor Chen Yijun attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
　　It was proposed at the meeting that the departments concerned should respond quickly to public complaints and solve them in a timely manner, and in the meanwhile, an award-winning reporting system should be established. The mine enterprises, which produce dust pollution due to irregular operation of the environmental protection facilities, must be shutdown for rectification and be fined with to the maximum, so as to make polluters pay a high economic cost. They will not be allowed to open again until they can meet the requirements. During the closing period, all the operating equipments in those enterprises must be removed, with water, electricity and circuit shut.
