A job fair featuring more than hundred scale enterprises was held at the city’s human resources market on Jan. 4th, attracting hundreds of job seekers.
Since last year, with the uplifting economic outlook and growing demand, many enterprises began to face a shortage in workforce. To respond to the situation, the city’s Labor and Social Security Bureau sponsored and organized this recruitment exchange fair after a careful study of the employment situation at the city’s enterprises.
At the fair, a great number of job seeker crowded before the booth of Ningbo Shentong Plastic Mold Co., Ltd.. Yaoqing, the director of the company’s human resource division, told those who applied for the position of mold feeding that the company would not only provide a lunch subsidy worth RMB 100 per month, but assessment incentive of RMB 300 if workers complete the fixed amount of task. On average, each worker can earn a monthly salary of up to RMB 2000. The attractive compensation sparked strong interest of Xiao Liu who has already two years’ experience in the trade. After some discussion, he made a tentative deal with Shentong.
Recognizing the shortage of skilled workers, the city’s Labor and Social Security Bureau made special arrangement to bring students from vocational schools to participate in the job fair, providing a face-to-face interaction opportunity for hiring companies and students. Among 60 students who had negotiated job opportunities with recruitment department of various companies, quite a few reached tentative agreement which would allow them to work as intern at respective enterprises before becoming regular staff.
According to relevant resources, the job fair saw 100 scale enterprises bringing in 3200 job vacancies including assembling and mold feeding, and 650 individuals reaching initial employment agreements. |
