On the evenings of April 25th and 26th, the modern play "Yingge Yao", produced by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and created and performed by the Municipal Yao Opera Protection and Inheritance Center, was performed at the Yuyao Grand Theater. Officials from relevant departments of the province and Ningbo city, as well as experts from Beijing, province, and Ningbo city, leaders of our city such as Ruan Yuejun and Zhu Weidong, watched the wonderful performance together with citizens.

Yao Opera's modern play "Yingge Yao" tells the legendary experiences of an artist and a theater troupe, depicting their life journeys of joys, sorrows, separations, and life and death struggles during the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, and after liberation. Wang Hong serves as the screenwriter, Wang Wenlong as the chief director, Shou Jianli as the artistic director, and Jiang Xinguang as the director. Jing Jiefeng, Zhou Tao, Lu Xiedan, Zhang Wang, Duan Huajun, Hu Zhan, Lou Lihui, Yang Yanyi, and other outstanding young and middle-aged actors from the seventh, eighth, and ninth generations of Yao Opera play important roles in the play. The drama will start planning and editing at the beginning of 2023, officially premiere in July 2024, and have a trial run in October 2024. It will return with a brand new appearance.
