Yesterday morning, the final of the 3rd "Yuyao Cup" China University Robot Experimental Teaching Innovation Competition was held in Yao. A team of 59 teachers from over 40 universities across the country gathered at the Yuyao Science and Technology Innovation Center to bring about a spectacular competition for innovative robot teaching.

This competition is hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China University Intelligent Robot Creative Competition, and organized by the People's Government of Yuyao City and the Robotics Research Institute of Zhejiang University. The final is divided into three theme modules, aiming to highlight the innovative design of robot related experimental teaching, including "Robot Experiment Design", "Virtual Simulation Experiment Design" for robot related virtual simulation experimental teaching software design and application, and "Online Real Experiment Design" for the implementation and application of robot online real experiments.

The competition is divided into two stages: preliminary and final, with over a hundred teacher teams from universities such as Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Harbin Institute of Technology participating. After the evaluation team screened the entries in terms of scientificity, innovation, teaching practicality, and promotional application value, the final team was ultimately selected. This year, we have made new adjustments and upgrades to the competition schedule, inviting professors and experts in the field of robotics from domestic universities to serve as judges. The purpose is to further promote mutual learning and exchange among robotics teachers nationwide through the competition, and promote the integration of industry and education, "said Li Jituo, the person in charge of the competition and assistant dean of the Zhejiang University Robotics Research Institute.

The "Yuyao Cup" China University Robot Experimental Teaching Innovation Competition was founded by the Zhejiang University Robotics Research Institute in Yao in 2022. As an expansion competition of the Chinese University Intelligent Robot Creative Competition, this competition has been included in the National Teaching Development Index for ordinary university teachers. With the increase in the number of events held, the influence of the competition is also constantly expanding. Not only are there more and more participating teams, but the comprehensive quality, professional level, and innovation ability of the teaching team are also improving.
