Wang Yangming is a sage in the history of China who has made moral, moral and meritorious contributions, leaving an indelible mark in the history and culture. His thought not only left a strong mark in the history of Chinese thought, but also had an important impact on the history of East Asian and even world thought. Yangming culture has been spread at home and abroad for hundreds of years, forming a large number of "Yangming fans" at home and abroad who love Yangming culture.
As the hometown of Yangming, our city innovatively implements the "Yangming Culture Overseas puzzle" project, gives full play to local advantages, creates high-quality content, and builds platform carrier, promotes the overseas dissemination of Yangming culture, and enhances the world influence of Yangming culture.
In August 2011, our city cooperated with the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to establish the "International Yangming Studies Research Center", employing Du Weiming, Chen Lai, Wu Guang and other famous scholars at home and abroad as visiting researchers. Since its establishment, the Research Center has held three "International Yangming Studies Seminars" in 2011, 2012 and 2014 respectively, edited and published four volumes of "International Yangming Studies", and has become closer to academic exchanges and contacts at home and abroad.
In 2021, under the attention and concern of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Overseas Communication of Chinese Culture and the United Front Work Department of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, the city innovatively implemented the project of "Yangming Culture into overseas Chinese communities", established the Ningbo Yangming Culture Overseas Transmission Base, and cooperated with non-governmental media organizations and overseas Chinese media forces to promote the global transmission and worldwide expression of Yangming culture. The popularity, reputation and influence of Yangming culture have been greatly improved.
On this basis, Ningbo established the Ningbo Chinese Culture Overseas Communication Alliance in 2022, and hired a group of well-known people in various fields of society as "Yangming Culture overseas communication ambassadors", to promote the overseas communication of excellent traditional Chinese culture, accelerate the construction of Chinese discourse and Chinese narrative system, and show a credible, lovely and respectable image of China.
Relying on the Ningbo Yangming Culture overseas transmission base, the city has planned and carried out activities such as "you look for me to take pictures" to find Yangming traces, "You remember me to model" solid Yangming objects, "You come to me to study Yangming science," drawing and pushing together "to spread Yangming heart, attracting and gathering a group of units and individuals with strength, resources and achievements to join the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture. For example, in the global collection of place names and road names, buildings, related character stories and so on, the establishment of corresponding resources, so far in Japan, South Korea, France and other places found more than 20 clues resources. At the same time, mobilize private capital and strength to rebuild or repair some overseas Yangming imprints, and promote the "Yangming Culture overseas puzzle" project.
According to statistics, our city has carried out more than 40 online and offline cultural exchange activities through the base, held high-level establishment ceremony of Ningbo Chinese Culture Overseas Communication Alliance and theme forum of Yangming Culture Overseas communication, and 12 online live broadcast activities such as "Online Exchange activities of Japanese and Japanese calligrapher", some of which were simultaneously broadcast overseas through the base platform. The total page views reached more than 2 million people. More than 3,000 people from all walks of life came to the base to visit, study, exchange and research, which greatly expanded the influence and communication power of Yangming culture. The implementation of the "Yangming Culture Overseas Puzzle" project has attracted a number of cultural creativity or talent entrepreneurship and innovation projects at home and abroad to land in our city, realizing "gathering people with culture" and "cultural people", and further pooling the consensus of overseas Chinese circles at home and abroad with points and faces.
