The establishment of national science popularization demonstration counties (cities, districts) is a concrete measure to implement the Outline of the National Science Quality Action Plan (2021-2035). It is one of the important starting points for grassroots science popularization work, and also one of the effective ways to improve the scientific quality of the whole people in the region and realize the sustainable development of regional economy and society. In recent years, our city has adhered to the principle of joint management, improved the establishment work system, strengthened social participation, formed a work pattern of leadership of the Party committee, government promotion, cooperation of all departments, and participation of the whole society, and comprehensively created a good social fashion of respecting science, knowledge, talent, and labor. Up to now, there are more than 2000 registered science and technology volunteers in our city.
After being selected as the second batch of national science popularization demonstration cities (cities and districts) in 2021-2025, our city established the leading group for the establishment of the establishment work, which is composed of the members of the municipal leading group for the scientific quality of the whole people, the relevant township (street), and the leaders in charge of the municipal departments, and specially formulated and issued the Implementation Plan for Yuyao City to Create a National Science Popularization Demonstration County (City, District), which made a detailed division of responsibilities for the establishment of the relevant units, We will actively form a large science popularization pattern. In the past year, our city has successfully completed the work of replacing the grassroots science association, including the special funds for science popularization in the government's annual financial budget, achieving the steady growth of the city's per capita science popularization funds in recent years, constantly expanding the science popularization staff, consolidating the basic conditions for science popularization work, and improving the level of the establishment work.
In order to further broaden the channels of science popularization and strengthen the effectiveness of the establishment work, our city has held several high-end science popularization reports. Up to now, 64 scientists and well-known experts have been invited to carry out 214 science popularization lectures in Yao, benefiting more than 90000 people. Centering on the central work of common prosperity, healthy China and innovative China, our city has carried out popular science activities such as practical agricultural technology training, health literacy tour, Internet users' watching, original popular science dramas, knowledge competitions, etc., creating a good popular science atmosphere in the city. At the same time, our city has made great efforts to build a strong science popularization work position, actively constructed a characteristic physical science popularization venue system, and formed a Yuyao 15-minute science popularization circle. At present, the city has a total of 335 science popularization corridors, 325 science popularization lecture halls, and 27 small characteristic science popularization venues, realizing the full coverage of grassroots science popularization positions and service networks.

In the past year, it has pushed more than 2020000 mobile phone promotional messages to the public, distributed 120000 popular science newspapers and periodicals, and the accumulated time of popular science TV and radio programs has reached 500 hours; Create a "Silver Intelligence Alliance" to guide the science and technology and popular science volunteer team to carry out extensive voluntary services.
