Yesterday, under the support and guidance from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the Joint Meeting of Eco-parks on International cooperation in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone 2018 & International cooperative Park and Policy Financing Exchange Meeting, co-organized by the Green Development Alliance of the National Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Administration Committee of the Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park, was held in Yuyao.
Present at the meeting, there were Zhu Bing, Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, leaders of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and the Import-Export Bank of China, and leaders of the Yuyao City, including Pan Yinhao and Han Baishun. More than 150 attendees from over 50 units, such as international cooperative eco-parks, border cooperation zones and cross-border cooperation zones and other international cooperative parks participated in the meeting.
Pan Yinhao, Vice Secretary of Yuyao Municipal Party Committee, Mayor of the Yuyao City and Director of the Administration Committee of the Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park, delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. He said that Yuyao has been grasping every opportunity under the background of the new round of industrial reform, the global economic integration and the national strategy of “One Belt and One Road” in recent years, focusing on developing a competitive manufacturing base of Yuyao, striving to develop big platforms and large-scale industrial clusters. The Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park has set a perfect example. It has been introducing big projects, developing promising industries, and making acquaintances and has attracted a group of major projects and renowned enterprises, including Geely New Energy Automobile and Sino-Italian TUS Science and Technology Mall, to settle down.
Pan Yinhao said that Yuyao is now in the key period heading forward to high quality development, and that the Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park is developing itself into a world first-class ecological park. The Joint Meeting of Eco-parks on International cooperation in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone is a high-end platform for communication and learning for international cooperative parks, international institutions and managers of industrial parks. This very meeting has a clear subject and rich in content. It is wished that experts at the meeting are able to provide as many precious suggestions as possible for the reform and development of Yuyao, share their successful experience for better development of the industrial parks and the whole city as well.
The Joint Meeting of Eco-parks on International cooperation in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone, initiated in Year 2013, has been expanding ideas and sharing experiences for the development and construction of the parks, but also promoting in-depth development and wider range of cooperation among ecological parks. At this meeting, leaders of 9 international cooperative eco-parks, including the Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park, Sino-German Qingdao Ecological Park, and Sino-Swiss Zhenjiang Ecological Industrial Park, made detailed reports. The Import-Export Bank of China introduced relevant policies on supporting the development of international cooperative industrial parks. Leaders of the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China made summaries at the meeting and affirmed the development and the work that had been done recently. They also required that under the new circumstances, every international cooperative ecological park take its own responsibilities, and focus on internationalization, industrialization, professionalization and developing industrial clusters, contributing to the transformation, upgrading and innovative development of the national economic technological development zone and to foreign trade as well.
