Zhejiang Zhichuan Robot Engineering Co., Ltd., co-founded by Zhejiang Zhichang Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhichang) and Kawasaki Robot (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. opened on September 16. Leaders, including Mao Guanglie, Vice Secretary and Deputy Director of the Leading Party Group of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress and Director of Zhejiang Smart Manufacturing Expert Committee, Pan Yinhao, Han Baishun, Yao Guizhen and Mao Pixian, attended the opening ceremony.

Zhichang, founded by Gan Zhongxue, one of the first experts of the national “Thousand Talents Plan”, is a high-tech enterprise, specialized in providing overall solutions for smart factories, robot applications and kernel parts. At the opening ceremony, a new generation of robot controller of the leading level for six axis and seven axis single and double arm robots was released by Zhichang. Besides, self-innovated and developed compact servo controller was released as well.

Kawasaki Robot (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., is in charge of sales, after-sale service and technical support of Kawasaki industrial robots in China since its foundation in Year 2006. The first industrial robot was developed by Kawasaki in Japan in 1969, manifesting an era of industrialization of industrial robots.

As is learnt, Zhichang cooperated with Kawasaki Robot (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. on “Union Robot” last year, and early this year, an agreement was signed for the “Zhichang-Kawasaki Robot Research and Development Project” with a preliminary investment of 30 million Yuan, focusing on research and development of application of automotive manufacturing lines and industrial automotive system integration, and on research and development, manufacturing, sales and services of robots and their parts. Zhejiang Zhichuan Robot Engineering Co., Ltd., founded and registered in March this year, locates in Zhejiang “Thousand Talents Plan” Yuyao Industrial Park, and is to help Yuyao develop a complete industrial chain of design, research and development, production and sales of industrial robots and intelligent equipment.

Though only 6 months have passed since its foundation, the sales income of “Zhichuan Robot” reached high up to 150 million Yuan. Cooperation has also been carried out with enterprises in Wuxi and Shenzhen, manufacturing parts for iPhone 8 and OptimumNano Energy Battery. Besides, another 1,000 sets of Kawasaki robots were purchased for production of Zhichuan Robot.
