Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture officially honored Yuyao with the title of the “National Agricultural Mechanization Demon Area” which makes Yuyao the only county awarded in Ningbo.
Since 2007 when Yuyao was listed in the first group of founders of national agricultural mechanization demo areas, it has provided totally 11.697 million yuan of agricultural machinery purchase subsidies, 60.561 million yuan of operation subsidies and 48.869 million yuan of agricultural machinery project fund, which has benefited over 100,000 peasants. Currently, Yuyao owns 594 high-speed transplanters, 260 grain dyers with capability of 3000 tons each time. Full mechanization in grain production has generally been realized.
